Volunteer roles within Sandwell Women’s Aid

Volunteer Administrators Wanted

SWA have a number of roles across the organisation, ranging from:

  • Supporting to input vital information and keep our client database up to date
  • Helping with minute taking and general meeting support
  • Helping with filing
  • Supporting the referral coordinator in triaging support calls to clients
  • Supporting with service user consultation

We have a general briefing session so you can find out what is involved on Tuesday 16th September 2pm-4pm.


Volunteers to work within Refuge Accomodation wanted

SWA are looking for volunteers who can work within refuges across Sandwell to help provide enhancements to client support. This may be supporting with activities, supporting clients to appointments, helping with food parcels/clothes.

We have a briefing session you can attend on 24th September 9.30am – 11:30am.


Volunteer Group work facilitators wanted


Do you have experience of facilitating support groups?

Could you give 4 hours per week to help build your experience in co-facilitating some of our support groups alongside trained workers?

We run different group work programmes within our refuges and in our community services; we are keen to work with individuals who have prior experience in running support group based activities.

Our current programmes include:

  • The freedom programme
  • You, me, and Mum.
  • Power to change

We have an information session you can attend to find out more information which will be held on Tuesday 16th September 10am-12noon.
